Mr. Fletcher teaches higher math to students in our Gifted program as well as honors/AP track. He developed the first math strand for the Gifted program in our district, including our Gifted Special topics in Mathematics course. Mr. Fletcher has been recognized in the last two years for teaching excellence in being selected as an Alfa Teacher of the Month and recipient of the National Milken Foundation Award. Mr. Fletcher sponsors Math Team and Mathematics Circle, as well as such campus leadership activities as Key Club. He has also worked on the Maysville Math Project and is a Peer Technology trainer for the district. He makes extensive use of SMART Board technology in his mathematics classes, and also teaches a leadership component to our Gifted students. In 2005, he was certified to teach The Infinity Project, a pre-engineering curriculum developed by SMU and Texas Instruments. He is one of the sponsors of the Davidson Robotics Team.
